Pat o brien and the priests of love11/28/2023 His parents were Patrick Joseph Hartigan (a produce merchant) and Mary Hartigan (née Townsell), both of whom came from the village of Lisseycasey, in County Clare, Ireland. Patrick Hartigan was born in O’Connell Town, Yass (New South Wales), on 13 October 1878. O’Brien is best known for his first book of poetry, Around the Boree Log and Other Verses (1921).
